Miss Sarah Louise Crow died at her home in Evanston, Ill., Monday, July 26, after a lingering illness of over a year's duration. Funeral services were held at the home of the deceased in Evanston Wednesday, and the remains were brought to Crystal Lake for burial in the family lot. The Crow family was well known and much respected in this community, having lived for many years in the place now owned by J.H. Selz.
Miss Crow was a lady of rare accomplishments, an artist, and a lover of nature. She was of an unusually sunny and optimistic temperament, always seeing that whcih was lovely and inspiring in life, rather than the sordid and ugly things. She was a member of the Crystal Lake Congregational church, and was ever ready to assist in any movement that stood to benefit and uplift her fellow-men. Always interested in the welfare of others, she worked with untiring zeal in her efforts to spread happiness about her.
Funeral services were held at the Crystal Lake Cemetery Wednesday afternoon, the Rev. Theodore Kellogg officiating. Miss Crow leaves one brother, Louis W. Crow, the last surviving member of the Crow family, and a large circle of relatives and friends who mourn the loss of one so beautiful in character.
